Welcome to the official website for American Sudanese Visions & Dreams, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the community of refugees impacted by the war in Sudan. As the war continues, there are many citizens in need of resources to manage its impact on their mental health, education, and livelihood. We are committed to providing that help.
Support
The ongoing conflict in Sudan has caused death, displacement, and a severe lack of basic necessities. ASVD aims to support the refugee community through these challenges, and to do so with a sense of dignity.
Empower
Refugees can struggle not only with the loss of family, safety, and a sense of place, but also with a loss of hope and purpose. Through education, training, and skill development programs, we hope to empower the Sudanese people as they develop capacity and resilience.
Advocate
Awareness and advocacy can be powerful tools in healing. Without widespread knowledge of this ongoing war and its impact, refugees are struggling to get the support they need. We want to use our power to elevate the stories of the Sudanese people - and we’d like your help with the process.
