Announcement: Launch of the Community Peacebuilding and Promoting Acceptance of Others Project

The Sudanese American Vision & Dreams Coalition (SAVDC), in collaboration with Renaissance Of Our Country Organization (ROCO), is pleased to announce the launch of a unique initiative titled:
“Community Peacebuilding and Promoting Acceptance of Others.” The project will run from August 10 to October 11, featuring diverse activities across more than five offline community sites, in addition to a series of online programs and events.

This project comes in response to the growing challenges faced by communities amid conflicts and divisions, and reflects a strong commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence, fostering a culture of acceptance, and countering hate speech and discrimination in all its forms.

Key Objectives of the Project:

• Strengthen the values of tolerance and acceptance of others as a foundation for community peace.
• Support community dialogue as a means to resolve conflicts and build trust among diverse groups.
• Raise awareness about the dangers of hate speech and social violence.
• Empower youth and women to become active partners in peacebuilding and development.
• Create safe spaces for interaction and intellectual exchange that promote unity and social cohesion.

This project is implemented with the support and sponsorship of the American Sudanese Organization, reaffirming its strong commitment to contributing to stability and sustainable development in local communities.

We firmly believe that community peace is not a choice, but a necessity for building a better and more stable future. Through this project, we aim to build together a society based on respect, justice, and peaceful coexistence.
