About Us

The conflict and humanitarian crisis in Sudan has been underway since 2023, and yet many throughout the world struggle to understand its scope - or its impact on its citizens. Refugees from Sudan are in need of support as they rebuild: rebuild their physical health, rebuild their mental health, and rebuild their capacity and resilience.

The primary goal of ASVD is to raise mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and provide practical coping strategies for stress management, trauma recovery, and emotional resilience. By equipping participants with the necessary tools and support, our organization aims to empower individuals and families affected by war and displacement to improve their well-being and integrate into their communities more effectively.
